You will be learning about: - Sites of settlements (Why are cities built where they are) - Early settlement sites - Settlement patterns - Settlement sizes and names (such as hamlet, village, town etc) 5 BELFAST AS AN IMPORTANT SETTLEMENT You will be learning about : - The Growth of Belfast - Past /Present / future influences on the city 6 LAND USE PATTERNS IN A CITY LIKE BELFAST & IN AN LEDC CITY - House types and location - Functions / services / shops—low and high order. - Changing land use 7 SETTLEMENTS IN LEDC’s - Shanty towns - Settlement problems in both LEDC cities and MEDC cities |
